I used to think I knew it all. I was young, dumb and naive and I wish I would have just taken some advice that people wanted to give me when I was younger. It probably would have helped me in different situations in my life especially the tough times. But no I was someone that was so close minded that I just ignored the help around me and tried to figure everything out on my own.
As I got older I learned how to admit when I was wrong, take constructive criticism and fix my mistakes. I had to learn how to check myself.
I’m not perfect and I’ve haven’t met a perfect person yet. I’ll let you know when I do. Accepting that I am going to make mistakes and learning how to make sure I don’t make the same mistakes twice is part of growing.
It’s another part of the journey to becoming the boss of my life. If you open your mind to learning new things, making mistakes and learning from them it keeps you from going insane. You’re not perfect so striving to be perfect is a waste of time. You will do things in your life that you look back on and wish you didn’t do. All you can do is learn and grow.
Check yourself from time to time.
