If there is anything that will help you keep your sanity in this crazy world it’s the ability to get rid of anything toxic in your life.
I don’t care if it’s a person, place, or thing if it doesn’t provide you with genuine happiness it’s not worth it. Let it go.
If you’re at a job that drains you mentally and makes you miserable, look for another opportunity and go for it. Don’t be stupid like I was in the past and leave a job without having a plan or another job. Wait it out with the job you have, look for other jobs that you think you’ll like and eventually you’ll find what you’re looking for.
If you’re in a relationship that is toxic get out of it. Your partner is supposed to be your #1 fan not someone that constantly makes you feel like your not good enough.
If you’re at a restaurant and you don’t like the food or the service, leave the restaurant and don’t ever go back. Life is way too short for you to eat food that you don’t like.
These things are easier said than done. Except for the meal thing that’s really easy to change at least for a foodie like myself. It’s hard to have the courage to leave a job you’re comfortable in and take the risk to try something new. It’s hard to leave a bad relationship that you put so much time and work into and probably really love the person.
But I promise you when you eliminate anything that doesn’t allow you to evolve you start to do this wonderful thing called growing and loving yourself. That feeling is worth everything.
